Experiments are so Fun

So I kept telling my husband, Roger, that I wanted to try to make a sculpted cake. I was so excited to expriment making a Mrs. Pacman 3D cake. I couldn't wait to get started on it. Everything was baked and filled. Since I had never done a sculpted cake before, I thought I would wing it and so how it went. NO BUENO! LOL! This is what happens when you don't have enought support!

Let me just say that the cake we did get to try WAS AMAZING! lol! But such a loss! Oh well, it was an absolute fun experiment and had a great laugh about it! One day I'll be able to make these sculpted cakes... for now.. I'll stick to tiered cakes and gumpaste sculpting!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Baking!

I won! Although, you do get to share some of the winnings since I did use a part of the chocolate portion of your cake to make my tree! LOL!

Nati, some of the best learning happens when things don't go our way. Keep at it, though, you've got talent!

Love your cakes and I've had a cake or two crumble on me. I decorated for years but have yet to ever use fondant.

It'll be fun to see your creations with the Cricut cake machine. I used to do cakes professionally (out of my home) and dropped a couple that made a mess....mercy! have fun.
